Top Chinese Firm Seeks To Sell To Iran
LONDON [MENL] -- China's leading technology company, with extensive holdings
in the United States, has been linked to an attempt to provide equipment to
Iran.
China's Huawei Technologies was linked to an attempt to sell U.S.
antenna equipment to Iran. Congressional sources said Huawei's partner in
Iran, Soda Gostar Persian Vista, sought to sell 36
cellular tower antennas produced by the U.S. firm Andrew to an Iranian
client identified as MTN Irancell, 49 percent of which is owned by South
Africa's MTN Group.
