ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Kuwait has been battling renewed anti-government
protests.

demonstrations in wake of parliamentary elections on Dec. 1. They said the
Islamist opposition would try to intimidate the new parliament, comprised
largely of pro-regime deputies.
