Bahrain Cautious With Shi'ite Clerics

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Bahrain, under Western pressure, has avoided the
prosecution of Shi'ite clerics suspected of fomenting violence.
Officials said the Interior Ministry has sought to avoid the arrest or
prosecution of Shi'ite preachers deemed as supporting the revolt against the
Gulf Cooperation Council kingdom. They said several of the Shi'ite clergy
has been warned but no action was taken.
