AQ Cells Emerge After Bin Laden
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Al Qaida has spawned operational squads in wake of the
U.S. assassination of Osama Bin Laden, a report said.
The Senate Homeland Security Committee determined that Al Qaida has
inspired a range of networks and cells in North Africa and other locations
in wake of Bin Laden's death in May 2011. The committee said Al Qaida has
been particularly active in Middle East countries struck by Islamic and
pro-democracy protests over the last two years.
