Syria Fires Cluster Rockets
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Syria was said to have been using Egyptian-origin
cluster bombs in rocket attacks against Sunni rebels.
Human Rights Watch reported that the regime of President Bashar Assad
was firing surface-to-surface and air-to-ground rockets that contained
cluster bomb warheads. The New York-based organization said the Syrian
military installed Egyptian-origin cluster munitions on such tactical
weapons as the BM-21 Grad rocket.
