Arab Militaries Unaffected By U.S.

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Arab militaries, despite decades of U.S. training and
weapons, have maintained their doctrine and methods, a report said.
The Gloria Center asserted that Arab militaries have failed to improve
their skills or revise their doctrine in wake of more than 40 years of
intensive U.S. military aid. In a report, author Norvell DeAtkine said Arab
military tradition frustrated all Western-inspired efforts to introduce changes.
