U.S. Develops Mini-Interceptor
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army has overseen a project to develop a
low-cost miniature missile interceptor.
The army has overseen trials of a program by Lockheed Martin to develop
the Miniature Hit-to-Kill interceptor. meant to stop artillery, mortar and
rocket attacks. On March 22, L-M conducted a trial of the interceptor at the
army's missile range at White Sands, New Mexico.
