WASHINGTON [MENL] -- U.S. military intelligence has assessed that North
Korea, the leading strategic ally of Iran, has reached the capability to
produce and fire missiles with nuclear warheads.
The Defense Intelligence Agency issued an assessment that North Korea
has acquired the expertise to build nuclear warheads. The assessment by the
Defense Department intelligence agency, disclosed in a House committee
hearing on April 11, sparked a flurry of clarifications and denials from the
administration of President Barack Obama, including the head of the U.S.
intelligence community, James Clapper.
