Hizbullah Questioned Over Assad
CAIRO [MENL] -- Lebanese Shi'ites have begun to question Hizbullah's support
for the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Lebanese sources said the Shi'ite community was relaying criticism over the
Hizbullah military intervention to protect the Assad regime in neighboring Syria.
They said the Shi'ites, some of them senior members of Hizbullah, were warning
that the campaign by the Iranian proxy would hurt the Shi'ite community and expose
them to a Sunni backlash.
