Syria Could Use Grads For CW Strikes
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Syrian President Bashar Assad could use his huge rocket
arsenal for chemical weapons attacks, a report said.
A report for Congress warned that the Assad regime could use a range of
surface-to-surface rockets to fire CW agents into Sunni rebel strongholds.
The Congressional Research Service said the regime's military could deploy
its short-range BM-21 Grad, designed by the former Soviet Union, rather than
longer-range ballistic missiles.
