Qatar Prepares For Succession

LONDON [MENL] -- Qatar, in wake of its failure to oust Syrian President
Bashar Assad, has been preparing for succession.
Western diplomatic sources said the Gulf Cooperation Council emirate has
signaled plans for an imminent royal succession. They said members of the
royal family told Qatari allies that Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani would
step down in 2013.
