Tensions Surge Between Hamas, PIJ

GAZA CITY [MENL] -- After nearly two years of a working relationship,
tensions have resumed between Hamas and the Iranian-sponsored Islamic
Jihad in the Gaza Strip.
The tensions were sparked by a Hamas raid on a Jihad stronghold in the
Gaza Strip on June 22. During a battle, a senior Jihad commander was
seriously injured by Hamas police and died on the following day.
