TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has achieved record defense exports amid shrinking
budgets in the West.
The Defense Ministry said Israeli defense and security exports reached a
record $7.5 billion in 2012, nearly 30 percent above that of the previous
year. The ministry cited increasing sales to Asia even as the United States
and other NATO countries slash their defense budgets.
