Egypt's Mil Maintains Empire
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Egypt's military, despite a year of Muslim Brotherhood
rule, has retained its economic empire, a report said.
The Middle East Media and Research Institute determined that Egypt's
military did not lose its economic might during the year-long rule of the
nation's first Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi. In a report, the
institute said the military controls between 25 and 40 percent of Egypt's
economy.
