Saudis Plan To Buy Refueling Aircraft
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia intends to procure refueling and transport
aircraft.
Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled Bin Sultan said the kingdom
was examining refueling aircraft for the Royal Saudi Air Force. Khaled said
the suitable refueling aircraft would also double as an air transport.
"The monarch's interest in this regard made us choose the best refueling
aircraft in the world," Khaled said. "These aircraft will give greater
capability for the air force. We hope to get the best equipment in the
future."
Khaled announced Saudi military plans during a ceremony on June 7. The
ceremony was held for Saudi pilots and other military personnel who
participated in exercises in the United States in 2008.
