Saudi Plays Key Role In Yemen
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia has played a key role in Yemen's campaign
against Al Qaida, a report said.
The U.S. Army War College has published a report that identified Saudi
Arabia as a leading contributor to Yemen's counter-insurgency campaign over
the last two years. The report by the college's Strategic Studies Institute
asserted that Riyad financed much of Sanaa's campaign and helped recruit
tribal support against Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.
