TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Palestinian insurgents have renewed targeting Israeli
security forces in the West Bank.
On March 15, two Israeli policemen were killed in a shooting ambush in
the Jordan Valley, the first such incident in the region in years. Officials
said the police car overturned and crashed near Masua, and the attackers
escaped into the night.
"The main suspicion points to a nationalistic motive," Israeli police
spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.
