UNIFIL Conducts Exercise In S. Lebanon

NICOSIA [MENL] -- The United Nations has conducted a military exercise meant
to counter insurgency strikes near the Israeli-Lebanese border.
The UN Interim Force in Lebanon staged an exercise meant to
demonstration the ability of peace-keeping units to respond to Hizbullah or
Al Qaida attacks on patrols in southern Lebanon. In one stage of the
exercise, mock insurgents threw grenades and opened fire toward a UNIFIL
patrol.
