Thousands Of Muslim Fighters Enter Gaza

CAIRO [MENL] -- Thousands of Muslim volunteers have infiltrated the Gaza
Strip and were seeking to fight Israel.
Palestinian sources said up to 3,000 foreign fighters have entered the
Gaza Strip from neighboring Egypt in late 2008 and early 2009. They said
most of the fighters were Egyptians who volunteered to help the Hamas regime
during the 22-day war with Israel.
"Some of them joined Hamas, many others volunteered for Al Qaida-aligned
militias," a Palestinian source said.
