Turkey, U.S. Firm Market Combat System
ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has teamed with a U.S. defense major to market a
combat management system.
Turkey's state-owned Havelsan has signed an agreement with the U.S. firm
Raytheon to market the Genesis integrated combat management system. Under
the accord, the two companies would seek to sell Genesis, upgraded by
Havelsan, to the Turkish Navy and other fleets.
"Together, the Raytheon-Havelsan team has provided a complete and
affordable solution to modernize and optimize the effectiveness of these
tough, multi-mission ships in service in allied fleets around the world,"
Raytheon vice president Charles Bush said.
