U.S. Intel Links Saudi Royals To Al Qaida
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. intelligence community has determined that
members of the Saudi royal family and official institutions supported Al
Qaida for at least five years after the suicide air strikes in the United
States in 2001.
A Treasury Department report, based on U.S. intelligence, said Saudi
princes continued to support an Al Qaida-aligned charity at least through
2006. The charity was identified as the International Islamic Relief
Organization, with offices in Africa, Asia and Europe.
