France Markets Helicopters To Mideast

PARIS [MENL] -- France has been marketing a range of military helicopters to
the Middle East.
France's Eurocopter has been briefing Middle East and other military
delegations on its helicopter platforms. Eurocopter, regarded as the world's
leading helicopter manufacturer, has sought to build its Middle East client
base amid projects in such countries as Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
"A key market is Saudi Arabia, and we are talking to the Saudis
regarding a range of helicopter platforms," a Eurocopter source said.
At Eurosatory, which began on June 16, Eurocopter has been displaying
several models being sold or marketed to the Middle East. They included the
Tiger combat helicopter and NH90 tactical transport helicopter.
