Algeria Expands Gas Exports

CAIRO [MENL] -- Algeria has reported progress in developing its natural gas
industry.
Algeria's state-owned energy monopoly, Sonatrach, said Algeria was
overseeing the construction of its liquefied natural gas plant at Skikda,
scheduled to open in 2011. Officials said the LNG plant would facilitate
plans to export 85 billion cubic meters of gas by 2012.
