UAE Biometrics Block Illegal Migrants

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has employed biometrics to
identify tens of thousands of illegal immigrants.
Officials said the Interior Ministry has procured systems that identify
visitors through the iris of their eyes. They said the iris recognition
systems could alert authorities to migrants whose stay has expired or
deportees who seek to return to the emirates.
