Iran Launches First Caspian Platform

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has inaugurated its first offshore crude oil platform
in the disputed Caspian Sea.
The Iranian platform was inaugurated on July 23 in a ceremony attended
by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Oil Minister Gholam Hussain
Nozari. Officials said the platform cost $370 million and contained 120
employees.
