U.S. Pledges To Remove Syrian Sanctions

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The administration of President Barack Obama has
pledged to lift sanctions from Syria.
Officials acknowledged that the administration has agreed to end
sanctions on the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. They said the
administration's pledge was relayed by U.S. presidential envoy George
Mitchell in late July.
