Libya Rejects Western Oil Contractor

LONDON [MENL] -- Libya has rejected a Canadian energy contractor.
Libya's state-owned National Oil Co. has informed Canada's Verenex
Energy that it had been disqualified from a Libyan oil project awarded in
2005. NOC said Verenex would not be allowed to work in Libya and must relay
its permit for Area 47 to a qualified investor.
