Oman Advances In Surface Vessel Program

LONDON [MENL] -- Oman has advanced in a program to procure warships from
Britain.
The Royal Navy of Oman has launched the first of three corvettes ordered
from Britain's BVT Surface Fleet. The July 22 launch at Britain's Portsmouth
Naval Base included the naming of the first vessel Al Shamikh.
